Spec Challenge: realistic Skull Crawler

Description

My entry for hyrotrioskjan.deviantar…'s challenge to design a realistic skull crawler, the antagonistic monster
from Kong: Skull Island.

I chose to reconstruct my skull crawler as an amphisbaenian lizard, closely related to the Bipes or Ajolotes.
The Skull Crawler's ancestors got in Skull Island the same way iguanas went to the Galapagos Islands; by sailing on wooden debris. Free of any big predator,
those two-legged reptiles grew up to 17 meters. Some witnesses talk about 30 meters long specimens but we are waiting for some proper evidence.
The Skull Crawler is not only bigger but also more robust. Its arms are powerful and as useful for prey restraint as for borrowing, since this species spends a lot
of its time living in tunnels, surfacing only to hunt or mate. Speaking of mating, their long skulls are ornated with large white scales with black spots, giving them
their names. Their affiliation with skeletons also comes from their scavenging behaviour. Skull Crawlers haunt the natural graveyards of Skull Island. They are quite agressive and fast, thanks to their swift tail and muscular elongated body.

I given the species the scientific name of Rampacranium terribilis. Rampa comes from the old francic and is linked to "ramper", crawling or creeping in french. Cranium is of course the latin word for skull.
